Does anyone know of the correct way to bypass the product.template image restrictions of 1024x1024.  If you have multiple images for products the extra images can be larger.  This has to do with the way odoo.tools.image resizes.  The problem with the 1024x1024 images is the white border that is left for images that are not square. 


This is a pretty big problem for the eCommerce app as it forces all product images to be square and max out at 1024x1024 resolution.  That is pretty low and also creates a problem with the hundreds of portrait ratio images I already have.  The main image (product template) is square and so naturally looks smaller (white left and right borders), than the additional product images, which use a different python method to import and keep their original ratio.  Here is an example of what I mean:
