Is it possible to have a pos system only for internal usage?
For example employee using equipment and per project?

Hi John,
Yes you can use POS for the said functionality slight enhancements you should do is to have Projects linked to PoS orders and you are all set. Internal Customer can be used for placing an order on POS.

Yes, it is possible if you adapt the POS module.
A basic, but not good solution could be link projects to fake sustomers... but you can do it in a more professional way.
What i really want is a POS Like system to be used by the storekeeper in the company.
For example emp NO: 101 wants to get some equipment for a project 10
He goes to the storekeeper and swipes his id card or gets what he needs for the project 10.
It should be as easy as possible for the storekeeper and for the rest of the employee.
By this way we can keep track of the material consumption per project
and inventory status. And of course keep a track on emp's material consumption.

I think that the pos system is not the better solution. POS create sales... you need stock management for projects...
I have a customer with car shop. When repair occurs, it is a project and it consumes time (time sheets) and material (stock moves) that should be invoiced to the customer.
They have a man as storekeeper and he shall deliver material to the different car reparations. They have 2 stock locations: one for the car shop and another one for the stock itself.
Analytic compatibility will manage which stock moves belongs wich project (car reparation).
For all, they use a barcode scan: the project as not a barcode but it could have it...
In my opinion it is the better option.
If you want to use the POS, you just need to add a field related to the analytic account: you select the customer and you can see all the related projects or you select the project and automaticaly the related customer is selected.

Inventory management, equipment, project...can you be more specific about what you want to achieve? Besides that, the main functionality of a POS system is to sell goods and services against cash and cash equivalents while tracking income, money and stock accordingly.
