After installation of Odoo 9 Community edition on Ubuntu 14,04 I am unable to find Payroll module / app. I found hr_payroll and hr_payroll_account modules are present under odoo-server/addons. Please help me to resolve this issue as I am absolutely fresh on odoo.

Go to Apps and filter for modules containing "payroll", this is what you'll get:
