We have a self hosted version 8 instance and have an Online Webstore running via Odoo. 

We have successfully managed to get payments by PayPal to work when purchases are made from our webstore. We receive the IPN information and get a transaction ID in Odoo. 

However, if we internally create an order and "Send Quotation by Email" with a PayPal link, payments can be made but the IPNs are being rejected. I can see payments are being made (by emails I get from PayPal) but no links in Odoo like it would show if someone bought from the site.

As well, every night after someone has made a payment via payPal (not from our webstore), I get an email from PayPal :

I have a strong feeling this is Odoo related so I'm wondering how I can fix this?

Not odoo, its entirely a problem with PAYPAL, they have been struggling with this intermittent IPN url glitch for a couple of weeks now. 

I am told they are very close to solving it now (was very bad for us on the weekend)
