We would like some of our users to receive the notifications by email. In the preferences we've set up 'Handle by email', and the notifications are created but they fail on sending.

They fail on sending because there is no outgoing server set for the email.

How can we set an outgoing server for the notifications created when an activity is created for any given user?

enable debug mode then settings  menu technical->outgoing mail servers

Thanks for your replya Avash, but I forgot to mention that we already have 4 outgoing mail servers set up in the database. And I must add that the server I want to use with these notifications has the lower preference (10) so that this one should be considered as the default server when no server is specified in the template.

In fact, your kind reply helps me to clarify my question:

If I have 4 outgoing servers set up, why the notifications by email got no outoging server data?
