I tried to configure the out going emails following the usual steps. Steps were Step 1: Enter the description for which e-mail you want (Eg: company@gmail.com)

Step 2: From your email, select the settings and click Forwarding and POP/IMAP

Step 3: Select the check box “Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on” and click configuration instructions

Step 4: Select the check box “I want to enable POP”

Step 5: Select the check box “Other” there by you get Standard Configuration instructions(Outgoing and incoming mail servers)

Step 6: From Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server – requires TLS or SSL , copy “smtp.gmail.com” and paste in your SMTP Server

Step 7: Select Connection Security as SSL/TLS

Step 8: Enter your full Email id as User name (Eg: company@gmail.com)

Step 9: Enter your Email password

Step 10: Click Test Connection, all settings are correct then showing a pop up message

Step 11: Then Save.

But after following the steps to configure the outgoing emails and when clicked on Test Connection button ,following OpenErp Warning is generated.

Connection Test Failed!

Here is what we got instead: -2 Name or service not known What might be the possible reason for the error?
