"Earlier today, I created a salary expense group as a sub-group under the Expense account. However, after 1 PM, the group no longer appears in the Profit and Loss report. I’ve tried clearing my browser cache and testing in incognito mode, but the issue persists. Any advice on why this might be happening?"

Dear Nikhil
you can review for your Accounting Reports in accounting -configuration- Accounting Reports - Profit and loss
and insure that account group field is set "Enabled by Default"
than you need to create Horizontal Groups for journal entries with domain on account type income and expense
than go to reporting for P&L and active "Hierarchy and subtotals in the filter than you can find the account group in the report
