How to make odoo14 to take in account that we are using fiscal year from july to june not from january to december so first january in my year will be counted to be part of 2020 but there is no configuration for it in odoo14. Anyone using the same scenario?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory

From the main menu, choose Settings. Then choose Accounting on the left side.
Once inside the Accounting Settings, scroll down and find Fiscal Periods.
Change "Last Day" to June 30
hey thanks for replying its already set but odoo14 journal sequences always take jan 2021 as a new year in the sequence
I see. Your fiscal year is correctly set - your concern is the numbering of invoices. I have not dug deeper to learn why Odoo 14 made this numbering system override the numbering systems that were in place before the upgrade. But it seems to imply only the year of issue, not the fiscal year. So an invoice issued in 2021 will be prefixed with 2021. The customer has no reason to know what your fiscal year period is - it is simply a numbering system.
You are right to some extent but it is different in different countries as in Pakistan we need to make PRA invoices which are submited to tax department and they must follow fiscal year, it was better when it was configurable.
