Hello community,

i am testing the Odoo 14 - Community Edition on Debian 10 Linux.

I got an error when i tried to use the invoice module.

An User explained that the error could be the backslash in this line. You can find this post here  https://www.odoo.com/es_ES/forum/ayuda-1/question/odoo-14-0-error-creating-invoice-fehler-bei-rechnungserstellung-177562

Now I would like to try this, but I don't know how to edit, or where I can find it.

Can you explain me what I have to do please. I am totally new to Odoo.

{'invisible'\: ['|', ('state', '!=', 'draft'), ('name', '!=', '/')]}
{'invisible': ['|', ('state', '!=', 'draft'), ('name', '!=', '/')]}

Thx in advance!

Hi guys,

I encountered this behaviour on my Odoo14 Docker installation as well. On all versions since release btw.
This is due to an translation error (I guess). After some painful hours on file system level, I just found this nice and easy solution right direct from the odoo frontend.

Solution:

  1. Log in with your Administrator.

  2. Go to Settings (General Settings) --> Way down to the bottom --> Activate the developer mode

  3. Got to Settings --> (top) Translations --> Translated Terms

  4. Search for "draft" and scroll a bit down where you will find the wrong translation value with the "\" after 'invisible'.

  5. Remove the backslash and your entry should change from this:
    <span attrs="{'invisible'\: ['|', ('state', '!=', 'draft'), ('name', '!=', '/')]}">Entwurf</span>
    to this:
    <span attrs="{'invisible': ['|', ('state', '!=', 'draft'), ('name', '!=', '/')]}">Entwurf</span>

  6. Save an have fun :-)

Best regards,
Daniel

We are using version 14.0-20201012 CE and it is showing exactely the same behavior. Our installation is based on the official docker images of Odoo. Updating from v14.0-20201002 did not change anything. We are also very much interested in instruction on how to solve this malfunction.
