hi there,

I created a new App using Studio and I would like to enable other user to access it.

I expected having to create a new 'Application' that would appear as a separate application in the Access Right tab of the user profile but even in 'debug' mode I could not find an menu entry under [Settings].[Technical] to do that

Eventually it would be good to find a documentation to set up this security

Anyone has a clue here ? how should I move forward ?

thanks - rgds - JL

Hi Niyas,

1. got it.

could ad groups to new Menu paths but it does not seem to work.

Two users are in the same group associated to the new menu paths, one is the admin who created the new app.

the other one not . the last one can not see the menu items on the menu bar of the new app.

Thanks - rgds - JL

Further ,

went back into Studio as Admin profile

navigated to the Model object level (x_<table name>

Edit mode and access to the [Access rights] tab

there in |Add item|

selected the (user) 'group' I wanted , added [ R ] [ I ] [ U ] [ D ] access on the model object to this group

[SAVE]

On another web browser, connected as the non admin user, refresh the App and then my Menu item was revealed and could be used

Hi,

Once the module is created from the Odoo studio, the new menus will definitely get listed under the menu items in the settings -> Technical -> User Interface -> Menu items. From here we can give access rights by adding groups to the menu.

In your case if you can't find the newly created menu items under the menu items in the settings, there may exist some other issues.
