Hi all,

We've self-installed Odoo 12 on two Windows boxes - one for our Development activities and another for Production use. We're using Studio (primarily) to configure modules and reporting, which will continue to develop after our Prod Go Live.

What we'd love is the ability to backup our Dev Odoo DB, without data, to restore any config changes into Prod, given the time delta for Production data changes while Development work takes place.

Looking through various forums, this doesn't seem possible natively, but we assume we're not the only ones in this position. Does anyone have experience or advice on how best to manage this?

Thanks Niyas. Unfortunately we have enterprise policy restrictions that mandate an on-premise self-install option unfortunately. Odoo.sh would definitely solve our problems otherwise.

Hi Jordan,

In my opinion it would be best to code the changes into an odoo module, and then deploy the module into production. This is the standard operating workflow. Studio has the limitation of being unable to allow you to export the changes you do, which would be great!
