want to test creating Record Rule for Project module as below:

SM PMO - This is Senior Manager who can have access for ALL Projects created by ALL Managers and their sub-ordinates

AM PMO - Assistan Manager can have access to the Projects assigned to him/her

MGR HR - Manager HR Can access all his and subordinates Projects

AM HR  - Assistan Manager HR can have access to the Projects assigned to him/her

MGR IT - Manager IT Can access all his and subordinates Projects

AM IT  - Assistan Manager IT can have access to the Projects assigned to him/her

Note: Mitchael Admin too can access all Projects by all above Managers and their subordinates.


Please help to learn Odoo technical. I have assigned myself this task to learn practically.

note: this is very initial requirement and want to apply through front-end Technical -> Record Rules

oh... it means it is not possible in Odoo Framework. sorry for that Record Rule question.

To implement the above requirements in the Odoo Project module, we can use Record Rules to control access to projects based on the user's role and hierarchy.



If you plan to scale this implementation:

  • Consider writing a custom Python method for advanced conditions.
  • Use custom modules for reusable configurations.

any hope??? can anybody help to Learn or it is not possible? 

I knew its a bit complex but hope not for experienced developers.
