There is an error in openerp server installation while installing odoo 9.0 on Ubuntu 16.04

What you need to do is to upgrade the web module of odoo. you can start odoo server manually by changing directory to odoo server and run the command.

./odoo.py -d <database_name> -u web

please change the database name accordingly.

It will update the XML of the web and depended on module & will resolve your issue.

First of Try to Re Launch your Browser after Clearing cache and then install all the dependencies specially passlib :-

sudo apt-get install python-passlib

Also Then try to create db again and then run odoo

./openerp-server -d <your_db_name> -u base

First clear your cache and cookies.You can use this link to download new server https://github.com/odoo/odoo/tree/9.0 and check whether your path given in log correctly you can also use dbfilter.
