My customer has multiple streams in there business. Each stream manufactures a specific group of items. For this example lets just use two streams. Artwork and Production. both streams have a revenue account and each has multiple accounts that make up the COGS for each.
Example:

Artwork Revenue: 41110                        Production Revenue : 41120

Artwork COGS is made up of                 Production COGS is made up of

51111 Labour                                                51121 Labour

51112 Super                                                 51122 Super

51113 Plates                                                51123 Ink

51114 Purchases                                         51124 Die Casts

                                                                    51125 Purchases

Now I understand I can group these accounts 51111 to 51114 as Artwork COGS and 51121 to 51125 to Production COGS and then use TAGS to combine for reporting such as Branch COGS which is assigned to all of the above accounts.

However when creating stock categories to keep in line with the above structure you can only specify one of the COGS accounts not the group or the tag.

The only way I can think of to get around this would be to have sub accounts. This does not seem possible in Odoo but I have seen reference to creating an account with an account type of View. However there is no such type when creating a new account in the Chart of Accounts dropdown for Account Type.

Am I missing something? Any ideas please help?

Regards

Andrew
