When making a PoS sale that exceeds existing inventory, negative amounts are seen in inventory. Does Odoo 14 natively have any way to limit so that no more of the stock is sold in the PoS? If it exists, where is it configured?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project management
- MRP

Hi Jorge,
It seems (out of the box) you can't.
Even if you set "in real time" in the PoS settings, the stock is only changed/counted when you close the PoS session.
There is some logic for this: if a customer found 5 pieces of an article and wants to buy them, why not? It might be that your stock is not correct.. But still, if you want to change it, and find a solution - let me know!

Thanks Tom.
I understand that the logic of PoS is like this, if it is there you can sell it, if not, no. But I'm thinking that if I have a showroom and I only have samples of what I sell, a customer could see only one item in the window and order 1,000 and if I only have 900 pieces in stock, the PoS is going to allow the sale. I believe that natively, odoo does not limit the quantities based on what exists in the warehouse. It would have to be with a third-party app
