odoo 11 - imposible to install new modules

Hello,

After installing a lot of modules, now I can´t , it shows this error:

Path in config file is ok, I have checked it.

Whant is the solution when working wiht such unreliable technologies?

Hello,

First please check the version of lxml by using the command i.e pip3 freeze | grep lxml

If the version is less than lxml==4.2.3 than upgrade the version by using the command i.e sudo pip3 install lxml==4.2.3

We were facing the same issue and upgrading to the version of lxml helped us.

Hi,

In the newly installing module there will something wrong in the XML file, that is why you are getting this error. So check the XML files of the module that you are going to install and trace out the issue.

Also Make sure that any other modules are in the state Cancel Install. Go to apps menu and group the apps by the status and see whether any of the modules is in the state cancel install, if so click the button and cancel and continue with your module.

The xml file is exactly as it was made by odoo or by oca. I did not modify modules. I have to serarch for other solution.

It seems that there is a problem with lxml-python versions.

As far I'm in a development/debug enviroment with a lot of wrong versions I've done that:

I have the same problem on a clean install of Odoo 11. In my case are 2 official modules Purchase management & Romanian accounting that give similar error while others install fine.

It happens to any odoo standard module, not a special one.

All the modules are installed or not intalled.

just this three strange modules are in a weird state, the posbox modules (this is normal)

Those module are auto install, anyway the issue seems to be in the xml file. There will be no issue with the odoo standard module, if you try the same in new database you can see that those are working
