The upgrade team is performing a new rolling release policy since several weeks.
A new upgrade button is proposed for some of client databases on the Saas (from Odoo v10 to Odoo v14):
The goal is to have a maximum of clients on the last v15 of Odoo.
What are the conditions to see the button ?
- The migration test, done by Odoo team, has passed
- The upgrade takes less than 10 minutes
- There are 0 deactivated views : if an impact on some customizations is detected, the button will not appear.
Clients are not forced to upgrade, in the message it's written that they can perform a test via their portal if they want.
The upgrade team proposes that upgrade for 2 reasons. First of all, users don't make the difference between a production database and a test database and so they work on their test database and then lose their work. Furthermore, most users do not understand why they should test an update (on windows, gmail, ... they just adapt themselves to a new way to work). The process is not smooth for everyone.

the most strange thing. have egzample of migrating standard v13(odoo saas) and after that have problems with email. meaning, migrating, not taking impact, what is changing in real. that is very sad, because it was default...
