My company is based in the United States, where upwards of 82% of people are currently paid via direct deposit. However, after looking through the documentation and viewing the instructional video on Payroll there doesn't seem to be any option to pay my employees this way. I've learned that Odoo supports creating a SEPA file for European countries, but there is no way to generate a NACHA file for the US, nor is there an option to generate EFT files for Canadian businesses. What is the best way to go about direct deposit to pay my employees?
Aside:
If my business is in Alabama, Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, or Wisconsin, I'm allowed to mandate that my employees receive their paychecks via direct deposit.
I hope that Odoo will make it's payroll application more robust in the near future. A payroll application without direct deposit in the US is an extremely hard sell, I wouldn't hesitate to call it necessity. Why would I choose Odoo over something like quickbooks which has features like Automatic Payroll, Pay Periods, Direct Deposit, and payslips calculated via timesheet?
