Using OE7, after creating multivariant products with [_o.option_id.name_] as model name, this model is repited so the complete description for multivariant products is "Product Option Name - Option Name". How can I make model name not to be repited?

It does not answer perfectly your question, but you should know that multiple variants have been redeveloped and cleaned in version 8. This feature is now in standard, with a better implementation. You can even have multiple variants on options and in the product configurator, as shown in the following screenshot.
