We have two different physical Warehouses in two different states. 

We sell a Consumable Product with a BOM.

The BOM is a Kit (not Manufactured), composed of Stockable Products. 

How can we ship one Product in the BOM from one warehouse, and another Product from another warehouse?


Example:

We sell a Bedroom Dresser Set. The kit BOM is:

1 x Large Dresser

1 x Small Dresser

2 x End Tables


We want to ship both Dressers from one warehouse and the End Tables from a different warehouse in a different state. How can we do that?



Also, can we dropship an item that is within a BOM?

Odoo 13 has introduced the concept of virtual warehouses for such situations. However, some customization may be required since it seems to generate a single delivery order for the deliveries from both warehouses.

Interesting (and thank you). That certainly solves a problem for some situations but I'm not sure it will work with a BOM. Does anyone have experience using this feature? In what situation has it worked for you?

Hi: It does work with a BOM. However, as mentioned earlier, it creates a single delivery order containing all the items in the BOM.
