Hello!

Is it possible to create individual/separate client companies under one license. They are not "child companies" but totally separate legal entities. Or must I get a license for each separate company?

Thanks

Yes, you can enable multi-company mode and create multiple companies. These can be managed completely independently. This doesn't require any additional license. So if you're one person running 3 companies then your 1-user license will allow you to use Odoo for the 3 companies.

Do note that a license is for 1 database. So with multi-company mode your are creating 3 companies in 1 database. The day you decide to sell 1 company and want to hand over the records of that company to the new owner, that could be a bit of a problem. You'd need to involve a partner to split your database. (Which is totally doable, but does require some effort)

If you want to have 3 separate database you would need to have 3 licenses.
