Is there a way to have different inventory routes on each company for the same product? 


We use Odoo 13 and have shared products to enable automatic counterpart Sales Order and Bills creation for inter-company transactions.  We have a sales company and manufacturing company.  The Sales company needs the Buy and Replenish on Order Routes enabled, whereas the Manufacturing company needs the Manufacturing Route to be enabled.  Whenever I switch between companies on a product, properties like BOM and Quantitiy on Hand are unique for each company, but the inventory route changes get always applied to both companies.

Alternatively I could have separate products for each company, but then I would loose the ability to synchronize inter-company transactions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found the answer to my own question.

In order to deactivate manufacturing for the sales company, I had to disable the "Manufacture to Resupply" option under the warehouse settings.

Hi Henry,

we went a different route.. We made the buy, manufacture and mto routes company specific. That way you can define for each company a specific route.

We also a have a Sale company and a manufactering company.
And in our case the sales company just uses Reordering rules, where the manufactering company makes it MTO
