Hi!

I want to use Odoo v8 in a multicompany environment. I first created a company named "A", and then in configuration added a company "B". I want to easily switch between companies, but I don't find the option. So that when I want to import suppliers to the "B" company doesn't get messed up with the ones on the "A" company, and when I'm logged in as company "B" I can see only suppliers from company "B".

highly appreciate your help!.

Well, as nobody answered, I found that you can change companies by going to the right-top corner, clicking on "Preferences". There you can change companies. If you can't find any company, you have to add a company going to Configuration -> users -> inside the user, you have to select multi-company. Then log in as that user and in Configuration -> users -> inside the user, add another company he has to manage.

Voilà.

 Hi,

To configure multi companies in odoo 8 , you need to:-

1) First configure a company by going to the Setting> Companies

2) Then Settings>Users. Here you would be required to enter the “company name” under the tab Access Rights>Allowed Companies, for any particular user.

3) Also under the menu Settings>Users>Usability, the Multi Companies must be checked so that the user can avail switching between multiple companies.

Now you can switch between multiple companies.

Hopes this helps

 Cheers!
