I am new to Odoo and am trying to get MTO set up.

I am running Odoo 15 Community Edition on a localhost.

Essentially my question is, is it possible to have an MTO product with attributes set to be created dynamically?

I have created a test product set to Storable and have Replenish on Order (MTO) and Manufacture both checked. I have created a BOM for this product with test components. This all works when I then try to create a quotation for the product configured as such. However, if I create a product attribute which has Variants Creation Mode set to Dynamically then add this to the aforementioned product, this product cannot now be chosen in a quotation. Changing the Variants Creation Mode to Instant resolves this but will not work for my final product which will have a very large number of variants. I make leather goods which can be configured with 3 different leather types for the inside and outside of the product and each leather type has 50+ colour choices. I have tried to configure a product in Odoo with this number of instantly created variants but it does not work, probably because this would make 7.17 x 10^389 products if my maths is correct.
