Hi,


I have products A and B with Valuation of $10 each. I add both A and B in MRP and create a product C and sell it.


Manufacturing and Inventory Valuation is fine since these will be automatically adjusted. 


Issue I am facing is, Cost of Goods Sold. I want both cost of A and B to be shown under separate headers. Currently every cost goes to finished product C.


Please help.

Did you ever figure this out?  I am running into the same issue.

You set different stock output and expense account to product A and B  than you have on product C.  In P&L report you can have the possibility to see the cost of A and B.  But as a and B will be consumed when you manufacture C, you will have a credit for consumption of product A and B from manufacturing.

But if you split the accounts you will be able to analyze what this.

I have Set the product Category as below for A and B.

Stock Output - 1000 (Work in Progress)
Expense Account - 5000 (Direct Material - RAW COGS)

For Product Category C:
Stock Output - 5001 (Direct Material - Output COGS)
Expense Account - 5001 (Direct Material - Output COGS)
**Since sometimes i reuse Product C from Stock

Still i am not able to see cost for A and B under 5000 (Direct Material - RAW COGS)

Cost Analysis report of manufactured product (C in your example) has the cost of individual components. It is a smart button on the product form

Do let me know if I have addressed the question.
