Hi,
If you are experiencing issues when installing a
custom module on your Odoo server, there are several potential reasons
for this behavior. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and
resolve the issue:
1. Check Odoo Logs:
Review the Odoo
server logs for any error messages or exceptions. The logs are often
located in the logs directory within your Odoo installation directory.
Look for any errors related to your custom module or installation
process.
2. Check Odoo Server Version:
Verify that the
version of Odoo on your server matches the version for which your custom
module was developed. Incompatibility between Odoo versions can lead to
installation issues.
3. Check Dependencies:
Ensure
that all dependencies required by your custom module are installed on
the server. This includes any Python libraries or system packages that
your module relies on.
Hope it helps
I recommend checking the following:
- Ensure that the server is connected to the internet and has a stable connection.
- Check the server logs to see if there are any error messages or warnings related to the installation process.
- Verify that the module is compatible with the version of Odoo running on the server.
- Try installing the module using the command line interface (CLI) instead of the web interface.
Hi,
Did you checked the Odoo Server Logs?
Review the logs of your Odoo server to identify any error messages or exceptions related to the module installation. The logs can provide valuable information about the cause of the problem. Look for any error messages or stack traces that could indicate the source of the issue.
You will find an error or a hint in Odoo log file.
