I have a kinda stupid question. Why can't I attach documents to a task?

I have installed the apps Project and Timesheet. There is no option to attach a document to the task like I have in other odoo instances. The other odoo instances are odoo 9 not 10.

I've read that I need to install the module document" a.k.a. "Document Management System", but on the other instances (odoo 9), I can attach documents and I don't have this module installed?! Is there a option that I missed?

Hi Samo,

This worked a bit different in older versions (9 and down) then in newer versions (V10 and up). You will need the 'document' module app in order to be able to add attachments to any record within Odoo. Without this app the widget is not loaded at the top of every form where you can add attachments. It is this app:


P.S: Starting from Odoo 12 behaviour changed a bit more and you have both the 'document' (basic functionality) and 'documents' app (advanced document management).
