Hi,

As part of the Odoo deployment to prospective clients, I'm looking at the minimum system requirements that our end-users would need to connect to their database hosted by us
(I've covered the architecture itself already)
We will have different prospective client types:
1. Those who will use their existing hardware dating back ages, purely desktop workstations

2. Those who will use a thin client solution

3. Those who will connect to our DB via the newest hardware.

I have searched through and so far in terms of minimal system requirements, all I could find is that Odoo will support all browsers that are currently supported by editors.

There are additionnal constraints:
->Some prospective clients see IT as a cost, not an asset, and thus will renew their computers only if there is no other choice

->Most if not all of our prospective clients are on Windows; this means that they'll need to switch to Windows 10, since Windows 8.1 is not going to be supported after 2023

->Chrome is greedy when it comes to RAM, and for some of our clients this is the default browser.

->Internet connectiivity is another subject and will be sorted out later (current min estimations are 8Mbps at the workstation)

Based on that, I have estimated the optimal configuration for the workstations

->Processor: 1.5 Ghz or faster

->RAM 6GB (Assuming Windows+Chrome running)

->Hard disk space higher than 64GB

->Windows 10

What do you think?

Thanks in advance for your help!
