Hello, does anyone here know how I could enable lot numbers to apply to multiple different products?
In my case, different products are produced by the same machines, using the same raw materials, at the same time. By default the lot numbers in Odoo are product-specific but this does not apply for me. I have considering removing the 'product' field under the stock.production.lot object, however I believe that may lead to other issues. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
A manufacturing order can only produce on product. But it is no issue in giving the same lot number to several manufacturing orders. Also with different products. But you will have to enter lot numbers manually.

Im also in a similar problem since Odoo also takes variant's lots as different lots and we use a single lot number for all the variants.
Example:
Limes
-Size: 110,150
When I enter lot number I enter for example lot 00001 for Size 110 and 00001 for Size 150 but they end up being different lot numbers they are lot 1 of variant 110 and lot 1 of variant 150.
I would like to have it as Lot #00001 of Limes which is made of some 110 and some 150 size boxes.

Still no solution for this almost 1 year later. Odoo is great for traditional manufacturing but it has been incredibly difficult to get working favorably for additive manufacturing. I hope that this will be improved in the future.
