I made "product A" with a BOM containing "product B" and set to manufacture "product A". I have "product B" set to purchase, however if I make a manufacturing order for "product A" the scheduler just makes another manufacturing order for "product A" to satisfy that pull instead of creating and RFQ for "product B".
I figure there's a simple setting somewhere I need to change, but haven't been able to find anything
You might want to check if replenishment request for productB is created Inventory-> Operations -> Replenishment
Also, you can set the trigger to auto and preferred route to buy for product B
