I am using Odoo 14 Ent. in the construction industry context. It is typical for a General Contractor (GC) to subcontract out part of a project to, for example, an electrician. In order to put our bid together, we need to get a quotation from the would-be subcontractor. We can use the Purchase module to issue the RFQ's (or tenders). When I have the information from the subcontractor(s), I would like to add that as a line item in my Quotation (Sales module). On larger construction projects, an award may not be made for several months...by which time all this work may be a vague memory and the subcontract would still need to be awarded. I would think that I could link an Purchase RFQ/tender to the Sales Quotation but, after watching many of the very informative training video on these modules, don't see a way to do this other than, perhaps, recording the RFQ/tender number into the item description on the Quotation. If someone knows of a way that these can be more directly linked, I would love to know how.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project
- MRP
