I would like to know if I can create an MRP order automatically after selling from POS without losing the current selling session and the need to run schedulers on warehouse panel.

Thanks, but did you notice this thread was created on 2014? We were fighting with Odoo 8. :)

Yes.

The product needs to have a Procurement Method of Make to Order and a Supply Method of Manufacture.

As soon as you validate payment in the POS session, a Manufacturing Order will be created for that item.  You don't need to close the session or run the sheduler.

Sorry for the huge delay, didn't seen your message (and odoo's forum didn't send a mail) In procurement I can set it to make to order, but there is not a separated supply method option, were do you see that?

At v8 it is called a Route and will be above MAKE TO ORDER if you have everything installed and configured the correct way.

This feature is not working in v8: the manufacturing order is created when a sale order is validated, but not when a payment is done throught POS.

EDIT: in fact, to make this work in POS, the BOM Type must be defined as "SET" and not "Normal" .

Even with Bom as "SET" down't run automatically (with or without jit module).
