Hello All

steps to reproduce:

  • Configure Manufacturing product with a manufacturing lead time of 1 day(Manufacture)(work center-working schedule -8 Hours/day)
BOM components are available in stock
  • Assign the Working Time entry to  Workcenter with 1200 minutes(2.5 days)

  • ISSUE: Create a sales order with 1 unit of the finished product unavailable in stock. Now, based on the MO Forecasted date, we will set our delivery date..for example, If I create a Sales order on 10th April and check the MO forecast date will be 11th April with 1 day lead time. based on that we will set our delivery date 11th April.
  • when we do actual manufacturing it will take 2.5 days to manufacture
  • so our delivery will be delayed in this case

  • ISSUE: How can we commit to the right delivery date here by checking the MO forecasted date?

You need to set the Customer Lead time in the product equal or higher  than the sum of

Manufacturing lead time + Days to prepare manufacturing (can be computed from BOM) + picking time + lead time for purchase on the components.

Recommended also to add a day or to, this can be fixed in setting for Inventory app. (Advanced Scheduling).
