Is there a general accounting module available with the community edition?

Question

I have Odoo running locally on a server using a Docker image.  When I enter the web interface I see an array of applications including "Accounting".  I don't see how to activate the accounting function on my locally hosted version.  A cloud implementation will not work for me as I often operate in locations without internet access.

Hi,
The Accounting application is part of the Odoo Enterprise Edition, so if you are using the enterprise you can install the Odoo Accounting Module.
If you are using the community version(free version), you will have only Invoicing module to manage the basic accounting in Odoo.

Also in the community edition, after installing the invoicing module, you can activate the little more features by enabling the group named " Full Accounting [1] " from Settings -> Users & Companies -> Groups

Bonjour à tous,
J’espère que vous allez bien.
Je rencontre un problème récurrent dans la gestion des soldes de comptes sur Odoo. Après avoir ajouté une écriture comptable, validé et payé celle-ci, je retourne au compte concerné et constate que le solde ne se met pas à jour. Le solde reste toujours à zéro.
Si quelqu'un a déjà rencontré ce problème ou a une solution, je serais reconnaissant pour toute aide ou conseil.

Hi,
Yes. After installing the Invoicing module (technical name: account) When you enable the option ‘enable full accounting features’ for the user you’ll get the accounting features.
