We are looking at moving to Odoo as our CRM (v100. We have customers that are individuals and companies. In some cases an individual can be a customer and the business they work for can also be a customer.
We want to keep track of where an individual works but when we add the company on the contract form it replaces the individual's address with the company address. Is there anyway to change this?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project management
- MRP

The default address for a Contact under a Company is the Company Address, but this can be changed if you choose 'Other Address' when creating the Contact.
You do have to enter the records in reverse when compared to the way you are doing it: First enter the Company, then from the Company record, add the Contact as 'Other Address'.
Will that work?

It might. I was hoping to import them all using CSV first. Can the 'Other Address' be imported?
Other address can be imported, as long as you import the company record first. Enter both via the user interface and then export both to understand the structure for the two CSV files you will need to generate.
Thanks. I can't seem to find a sway to link the individual to a company through the CSV import. But I guess I can do that manually.
Actually that doesn't work either. It doesn't seem to be any way to link an existing individual to a company. This would also apply if an individual changes jobs. This is a limitation compared to our old system.
