This question has been flagged

I have gone through and made some manual inventory adjustments to individual products as well as run an annual inventory count. My question is...

Where can I find the accounting journal for the adjustment of stock? Or is it captured somehow in cost of sales?

Thanks

Thanks guys, it was the automated inventory valuation setting that was not producing the journal. I could then access the journals manually through the accounting module as you mentioned Paresh.

Appreciate your help here.

Hi Hamish:

Usually, you can see these from the Inventory Adjustment if you go to the Inventory Adjustments tab and click on the Accounting Entries smart button.

Hi Paresh,

Thanks for your reply.

It seems the only smart button I have on the Inventory Adjustment page is for the "Product Moves". No sign of "Accounting Entries".

Do you know if this is a configuration issue?

Thanks

What version of Odoo are you using ?

v13

Are your products setup as Automated Inventory Valuation?

It looks like the smart button has been removed in v13. Will look into this further and post again.

Odoo creates entries in the "Inventory Valuation" Journal for these transactions. If you are using EE, you can see these by going to Accounting > Accounting > Journal Entries if you have the Accounting module installed and provided you have set up the product for "Automated" inventory valuation in the Product Category.

The steps are slightly different if you are using CE. In CE, you need to add the user to the "Show Full Accounting Features" security group to be able to access the accounting related features. Everything else is the same except for the fact that instead of the "Accounting' module you will be using the "Invoicing" module.
