At the moment i am trying to get my Inkscape made company logo into my module based website (Odoo 9). To do so, i paste the i paste the SVG-code into the xml-code as it is displayed in the integrated HTML-editor. It seems that Odoo doesn't like Inkscape SVGs, even if they are saved as 'ordinary' SVGs and not 'Inkscape SVGs'. Whenever i try to save changes, odoo refuses to save them!

Interestingly all my svgs work in the w3schools and codepen.io editors with no trouble.

On the other hand, if i paste standard SVGs with no Inkscape related elements into the code of my website everything works!

Any help/suggestions on this is appreciated!!

I may be wrong, but I always thoughts odoo only allowed bitmaps, such as jpeg, gif or png files. The use of svg files (although they're great) isnt usually allowed in most similar web applications.

If you just export your Inkscape logo to png at a size you require this should work fine

Thanks Julian, but it still doesn't explain why SVGs that don't come from Inkscape work pretty well in Odoo!
