I have 5099 warehouse bin locations for my one warehouse. I setup a new warehouse in Odoo but struggling to find a way to avoid manually making 5099 bin locations. How do I import? I am using the cloud odoo version and I have a paid subscription.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

Hello,
Bins can be configured as locations in Odoo. Firstly, in inventory settings, enable the storage locations check box. Then go to the location master in the inventory configuration menu. Here, you can import all the bin locations in one go from excel. To do that, in location master screen, click on favourites, import records menu and select the excel file containing location data with suitable column headings and click on import.
I am in exactly facing the same issue, I can't find Odoo function/feature for importing and import the Locations data (location name, barcode, etc)
_____ EDIT:
I found it, it is hidden in the "Favourites" menu. Which in retrospective it doesn't make any sense to be honest, but there is a lot of stuff in Odoo that doesn't make much sense and where there is very little documentation to explain or back it up.
