Hi Team, I have the inventory module but cannot set a product as storable. The system only let me have consummable or service. How can I access this type? Tanks

There is a translation issue with Odoo 17.4 at the moment.
"Consommable" is meant to read "Marchandises"
Hi Thanks for your answer, my problem is not translation its that I have only 2 boxes visible "Consommable" and "service" and no possibility to tick "Storable" (or Stock) and thus no mouvment is done on the available quantity
Can I try an older version or an english 17 version?
Thanks a lot Ray
OK Ray I finally understood my problem. Yes the translation is misleading it should be marchandise I switched to the english language and there is also ony the goods or service options.
It seems that while the documentation advertise 3 boxes Storable Consummable ane service the system has been changed into 2 types only boxes and service + the box "Track inventory"
But in spite of having ticked this box I don't obtain tracking.
I will pursue my reseach
Thanks for your instrumental help
Patrice
Greetings:
I've opened a support ticket at Odoo.com and the response was that it is stated at the release notes of v17.4 (Sales section):
Product form view improvements
The product form view and model has been reworked. Storable and Consumable product types have been replaced by Goods, and the Tracked field determines if and how the product is tracked.
I have the same problem in Odoo online V17.2 It seems they have changed some fields in this version and we are unable to crete product as Stroable. It gives "Consumable" and "Service" types only.
Probably there should be some other setting for Storable but we are unable to find out yet.
Hi, same issue here!
It seems like, as you said, that "storable" has been replaced for "Good" option + track invetory check and, if you want to keep track by using lot, then select "Lot" from the drop down.
I did configure a product in such way and try to use it in a reception, but by the time I try to validate the reception a message error arises "You must provide a lot/serial number for the product"
And there is no way to provide it. Documentation shows that a button for that would be available in the product line in Reception, but such button is missing.
If anyone can shed some light on the subject I would be very appreciative.
You add Serial Numbers / Lot Numbers by clicking the Icon to the right of the UNIT column (four horizontal lines).

Hi, have you used this product in a sales order before? Does the same happen when you enter a completely new product?
