I have faced an  problem regarding the portal user sign up..


  • internal
  • Portal
  • Public

From the above option, i have selected the portal for default access rights on free signup for a user in the website to see their documents. But When they signup the user is automatically created as an internal user and  redirected  to  the  internal  application .  But  they  should  see  only  the  website  menu  and  their  documents.  Why this is happen? If there is any solution , It will be a great help. I am using odoo14.

I solved it later. By overwriting the website signup method and override the portal group the signup users. Thanks !
