Cannot use Etherpad when sitting behind Nginx as a reverse proxy. Direct access from the inside network works fine when not using HTTPS.

E.g. when editing a task the Etherpad GUI iframe shows only the icon to expand the iframe which, if I click on it, opens me a blank new page with the same icon on the top right.

Tried to follow these two responses:

https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/solved-etherpad-in-notes-with-an-ssl-connection-to-odoo-doesnt-load-59730

https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/etherpad-pad-creation-failed-either-there-is-a-problem-with-your-pad-server-url-or-with-your-connection-107337

Bbut adding the certs and enabling SSL on the Etherpad server (docker container) has not worked.

I can access Etherpad on SSL directly from my inside network and the certs are fine, but when accessing via Odoo from the outside using localhost:port in Company Settings --> Pads --> Pad Server I get:

Odoo Server Error

If I add HTTPS to the Company Settings --> Pads --> Pad Server as https://locahost:port I get a different error:

Error

Pad creation failed, either there is a problem with your pad server URL or with your connection.

Can someone assist?

I'm running Version 8.0-20170815 Community.

Thanks in advance!
