Hi all,

I moved from Quickbooks online to Odoo Accounting 2 months ago. I have to admit QBO's bank statement reconciliation feature is a lot more intuitive than Odoo's. So far, I can download bank statements and reconcile them. There is a little circular arrow icon next to every reconciled transaction in the bank statement model. That way I can see which transaction in the statement is not reconciled.

However, my problem is, how can i see all the transactions in my book that are not reconciled with the bank? For instance, I just downloaded June's statement and reconciled each transaction that appears in the bank statement. However, this doesn't mean my book is accurate because my bookkeeper could have booked transctions in Odoo that's never happened in real life (not on bank statement). Where can I get a report of such transactions?

In QBO, there was a Reconcilation Report which shows the beginning balance and ending balance of each reconcilation, any transaction in the book but not in statement (uncleared checks etc). That was super helpful to detect any duplicate transactions on book. Help!

I am used to the QBO way of thinking. I was expecting to find the Reconcilation Report under the Reports menu. Thank you!

Hello Lex, You can go to Bank reconciliation report (in enterprise edition) here:

Accounting dashboard> On your Bank Journal  click on the three dots: Under Reconciliation you would see Reconciliation report.

Thanks

How to find in community edition

David Maxwell,
You should look out for some third party app that provides you reconciliation report/ Full Accounting features in community edition as well.

I am also used to used QuickBooks for accounting. Have you been able to find a way to reconcile the bank accounts that is more like the way you do it in QB? More like a simple check box function. Versus matching transactions?

Hi Sarah, it's good to see another US company using Odoo (and unfortunately sharing the same pain.) Shoot me an email and we can probably help each other out with Odoo (lex.shan@walkintour.com). I have learned my lessons from the QBO->Odoo transition.
