For using runbot for trouble shooting I need the build number of my installed OpenERP version.

I can find the version like here: image description

On this screen, it is activated by clicking on the i besides logout, I see the version number.

But this is not enough.

A build number has four digits. The buildnumber for 6.1 of today 28 March 2013 is 5710. Serverbuild 4347, Addons 7194 and Web 2509.

Those buildnumbers are needed to test with runbot.

Where can I find the buildnumber(s)?

You can find the exact version of the installed openerp-server by looking in the release.py script that is find where your server is installed .../server/openerp/release.py In this script you will find a line like this: version = "6.1-20121004-232945" - this is the version number that is the same as the one we found in the nightly depot of versions. I do'nt know where we can find more details but perhaps with that version number you can find in lauchpad what are the other matching four digit buid numbers ...

I found the script. You are right it is about releasenumbers. But nothing found like version = "6.1-20121004-232945" in a line. The file is dated 26 April 2012 and has a size 2533 bytes. Maybe the rules are changed on this after 26 April 2012? Anyway thanks. And it is better to put your answer next time not in comment but in answer.

In v7 you clic on your user name, and in the drop down menu you clic on 'About OpenERP' and on the little box that appear, you will find the exact build version installed.

In V6.1, you click just beside of logout, on the small icon with 'i' inside (for 'info') and on the smal box that appear, you find the info

For 7.0 your answer is correct.

For 7.0 this is the correct answer. I found out my installed version is: Version 7.0-20130226-002110. For 6.1.1 the answer is not sufficient. Because I will phase out 6.1.1 the answer for this version is not needed anymore. So I set this on answered.
