How can I modify the point of sale module for Odoo to be able to lock the screen. And have the user redirected directly to the point of sale session without having to first click "resume session" or new session when they have logged in?

I'm going to try write such a module myself for a client who needs to be able to lock the screen and have different users use the system, don't know if there is something like this already.

If someone can point me in the right direction would be much appreciated. If I do end up writing the module I will open source it and share with the community.
