In some cases, customers need to assign two SAT (UNSPSC) codes to the same product, especially when it is used for both rental and sales. Ideally, these cases would be managed with two separate products. However, some customers prefer that inventory movements be reflected in a single product, maintaining unified stock control.

This can be solved by using kit-type Bills of Materials (BoM).

Example:

1️⃣ Create Two Products in Odoo:

• Original Product: Used for inventory and internal movements, with the SAT code for rental/leasing (72141700).

• Sales Product: Used for sales and invoicing, with the SAT code for sales (20102306).

2️⃣ Configure a KIT in Odoo:

• In the sales product, create a KIT-type Bill of Materials (BoM).

• Add the original product (the one in inventory) as a component.

3️⃣ Process in the Sales Order:

• When the customer buys the sales product, an inventory movement is automatically generated.

• The inventory output will reflect the original product, ensuring proper stock control.

• On the invoice, Odoo will register the SAT code of the sales product (20102306), complying with fiscal regulations.
