Hi, I quite often have to perform an internal transfer of t-shirt small, t-shirt medium & t-shirt large. It would be super if I could instead of adding three products to the transfer every time just add 't-shirt set' and that it then adds the three products.
I tried this with 'kit' but it seems like you cannot internally transfer a kit. You can only sell it. But I don't want to sell it :p
Any ideas here?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project management
- MRP

You can transfer kit products like any other, assuming you have the components in Inventory.
CREATE:
MARK AS TODO:
Make sure you are creating a PLANNED TRANSFER:
Indeed this works! Why is it not possible to do this as an immediate transfer? We are a small company so we don't really care about all the steps in between (Mark as ToDo, Check availability ...)
It was not designed to work on an Immediate Transfer. You are free to customize Odoo (or ask us or an Odoo Partner) if you want it to work differently AND the cost/benefit analysis is in your favor. Remember a kit (in Odoo) does not exist, ever, it is just a shortcut to the products it contains. An immediate transfer is designed to record the IMMEDIATE movement of products that a User can see in front of them, which would be the three shirts. The User would add what they see in front of them and validate - three shirts. A planned transfer is designed to record the PLANNED movement of products that a User (or the Scheduler) checks availability of. Another option would be to duplicate Internal Transfers that already have the three products added to them.
Thanks Ray, Cost benefit would probably not be in favor, so we will leave it as is. An error warning that kits don't function with immediate transfers would make the software more easy to use. Now it just gives a cryptic error message 'stock.move record does not exist'
Hi Jeroen. I just tried to report this feedback and there is no longer an error at v14. My code was not updated. I just updated it and I no longer get any error - the kit is expanded on the Immediate Transfer like you expect. So I take back "It was not designed to work on an Immediate Transfer" because it works today as expected.
