I would like  'account.invoice.graph' view to be only visible for users belonging to Accounting & Finance / Financial Manager group. To achieve that, I go to Settings -> Technical -> User Interface -> Views and search 'account.invoice.graph' view. Once I found desired view I add Accounting  Finance / Financial Manager on groups page. In this way, only users belonging to Accounting Finance / Financial Manager group should see 'account.invoice.graph' view, however any user can still access this view.

Am I doing something wrong?

Is there any other way to achieve this?

You change access rights for menu, not for view. 

It seems to me that the definitions of the groups in views are applied only when system retrieves the architecture of views that inherit from the given view.

So, is it impossible to restrict views already defined in the system?

If I remember correctly restrictions works for new added view by inheritance.
