How do I find the reason why is this not working? 

I used a document: Synchronization with Outlook’s Calendar.   (Odoo Online)

Problem: When I press the sync button and click ok to the redirect question, it flashes me a one-second Microsoft "trying to sign you in" and then comes back to the calendar? I have checked the client id and the secret multiple times.  My IT guy gave them to me.

Hi Anssi,

One of the possible reasons is that the application that was registered was setup as "single tenant". Odoo doesn't support single tenant now (although it is undocumented) so you have to conver it to a multi tenant. I had very similar issues like you before I changed this :) 
Note: this comes back from here in the code and Odoo made it multi-compatible for V15.

solved my problem aswell. Version: Enterprise v16 hosted by odoo online

To configure Microsoft Outlook settings, do the following:

  1. Log in to Outlook.
  2. Click. Settings > View All Outlook Settings.
  3. Click Mail in the left panel.
  4. Click Sync email in the middle panel.
  5. Click Yes in the POP and IMAP section, located under POP Options.
  6. Click the Don't allow… option.
  7. Click Save.

Hi, I faced the same issue and problem was also solved by enabling multi-tenant. However Microsoft requires a MPN ID (Microsoft Partner Network ID). I get it but not for all my customers, any idea on how to solve the issue ?
