at present we use skype to chat with the outside world (customers, suppliers) AND internally among each other. We want to reduce skype usage (because we think it is not safe for confidential communication) and therefore would like to do internal instant messaging within OpenERP . Functionality we look for would be similar to any IM system (skype, QQ, ...). Just it can be much simpler. We don't need video, we don't need audio. Just plain messaging and maybe filetransfer.
Is there such functionality in OpenERP? I don't want to post 'tweets' to followers (I think that is mainy what the Messaging does) but want a solid one-on-one chat. Primary just internally between users of OpenERP. Live Chat with customers is not what I want for now. And how can I get it going?
these 2 posts mention instant messaging, but it doesn't get really clear what that is.
