I’m facing an issue with stockable products configured with a Bill of Materials (BoM) of type KIT. When we add these products to a sales order, it's not possible to see the availability of the product (based on its components), unlike other products.

This creates a significant challenge for the sales department, as they cannot know the availability of what they are selling or renting when it involves KIT-type products. The only way I found to check availability is by confirming the order and then checking the stock in the picking operation from the inventory module.

Is there a way to display the availability of KIT-type products directly on the sales order line before confirming the order? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hey,

I tried the method you have mentioned. But it "Virtual Availability at date" column comes in zero for me and there is not graph after validating the Quotation. Any tips to fix it?

I was able to solve the issue using Odoo Studio. Here’s how I did it:

I went to edit the List View on a quotation and enabled the option to "Show Invisible Elements." This allowed me to activate a hidden field called "Virtual Availability at Date."

Now, while I’m loading a quotation, I can see the availability, even when the product is composed of a Bill of Materials (BoM) of type KIT. Although the availability status (green/red indicator) doesn’t appear until the order is confirmed, I can still check the stock levels before that. Once the order is confirmed, the availability status graphic appears as expected.
